Punctuation for CJK languages

Spaces are very rarely used in CJK languages. It is used for instance in romanized texts. Punctuation is made with special or full-width characters like:

• （...） (U+FF08 FULLWIDTH LEFT PARENTHESIS), (U+FF09 FULLWIDTH RIGHT PARENTHESIS)
• 　 (U+3000 IDEOGRAPHIC SPACE)
• 、 (U+3001 IDEOGRAPHIC COMMA) (for enumeration)
• 。 (U+3002 IDEOGRAPHIC FULL STOP / PERIOD)
• ； (U+FF1A FULLWIDTH COLON)

Maybe, the marker symbol should use additional spaces realized by CSS rules.

Punctuation for other languages

Arabic

، and ؛ are used for comma and semicolon, respectively. Spaces which follow punctuation are used in a similar manner to that of Western languages.

Example: مصر (Egypt)

Hebrew

Punctuation is similar to that of Western languages.

Example: ישראל (Israel)
