Diese Hilfeseite beschreibt die von der MediaWiki-Software bereitgestellten Webfonts näher. Insbesondere wird dargestellt, unter welchen Umständen diese auch in Wikivoyage sinnvoll einsetzbar sind. Rein gestalterische Effekte sind jedoch in der Regel unerwünscht.
Die Zuweisung sollte bevorzugt über eine sprachspezifische Vorlage (z. B. {{Th}} für Thai) oder die allgemeinere Vorlage {{lang}} erfolgen, ersatzweise über das in Tabellen und anderen Syntaxelementen verfügbare Attribut style=. Nichtlateinische Schriften, insbesondere solche mit Schreibrichtung von rechts nach links, werden oft durch eigene Vorlagen unterstützt, die Transkriptionen und weitere Darstellungsverbesserungen zentral regeln.
