Hallo ich finde Wikipedia gut und möchte beitragen Wissen zu verbreiten. Ich bin ehrlich: Ich möchte nur dann etwas sagen und in Wikipedia editieren, wenn ich denke ich bin auf dem Gebiet fachlich qualifiziert. So ist meine jahrzehntelange Erfahrung auf dem Gebiet der Ökologie, genauer gesagt der Gewässerökologie, der Schwerpunkt wo ich mich hier primär berufen fühle beizutragen. Weiters das Hochschulwesen – meine Erfahrung wie man das Begutachten von Artikeln für wissenschaftliche Zeitschriften vornimmt – wie man Inhalte recherchiert und mit Referenzen belegt - wie man junge Autoren beim Verfassen von Artikeln anleitet oder wie man in einem Autorenkollektiv erfolgreich Bücher für bekannte Verlage schreibt, zählen zu den Gebieten meiner Erfahrung. Auf diesem Gebiet möchte ich gern mein Wissen in Wikipedia weiter geben. Ich freue mich auch über jeden der kritisch-konstruktiv meine Texte in Wikipedia diskutiert. Ich möchte mir aber nicht anmaßen über Dinge beizutragen oder zu kommentieren, wo ich selbst fachlich kein Experte bin. Ich selbst bin neu bei Wikipedia - ich steige mit der Motivation „100% Ja-als_Editor_für_Wiki“ ein – mal sehen wie dies in der Zukunft aussieht. Gute Erfahrung habe ich auf anderen WikiSeiten gewonnen. Gefällt euch diese Seite? Eure Meinung ist gefragt: Bin ich zu sehr mit der Biologischen Station verbunden, sodass es mir nicht etwa erlaubt sei in NeusiedlerseeWiki etwas darüber zu schreiben. Bin auf eure Antwort gespannt, ob dies gegen die Regeln verstößt. Woanders hat man mir dies nämlich in Wikipedia vorgeworfen – mea eine gute informative Seite, aber man scheint nicht happy darüber, weil ich zu sehr involviert wäre. Aber wie kann man über etwas schreiben, wenn man auf dem Gebiet keinen Einblick hat??? Diese Zeilen sollen kein „Talk“ sein – wohl aber Denkanstösse geben. Was wird in 10 Jahren mit Wiki sein. Wird es dann Wiki noch geben oder implodiert das WikiSystem???

Hi, I really love Wikipedia and I want to contribute here. I am limnologist or it is better to say freshwater scientist, experienced in many things about lakes and rivers. What I have learned apart from Wiki is just to contribute on topics I am familiar with. In this view I want to contribute to issues on ecology, also on higher education, about my experience being a reviewer for manuscript articles in scientific journals, about how to work as editor for books released by well-known publishers and so on. What I do not quote is just adding some comments on a field where I do not feel my expertise. This is the reason, why I definitely wouldn’t do so. In turn, I am really happy about constructive advice from other Wiki-editors concerning text I might have written in Wikipedia – as always a text can be improved even a little bit, that information is then better presented – this is good. This is highly appreciated by open mind people – I feel home here.

Do you like this page? – Or is it against the Wikipedia rules as I am perhaps too much involved in things going on at this station? Most of these photos I have made - as I am worked as volunteer for ringing birds at BS, I am involved in measuring stations in the lake! Is this against the Wiki rules? How could somebody contribute to something he or she is not familiar with? I was all time honest to tell my true name in the Wiki editor account – it looks it did not pay off? I might have taken an anonymous nick name for my Wiki-account as editor? So, for another page it was said I am perhaps too much involved in the stuff described on the page? Searching for content and putting all refs together for Wiki, to improve the content – this all could be for nothing if you are involved? Well other editors could say what particular content is wrong or which links provided are wrong or which other published references do not fit – if the search of other Wiki-editors would find sth else according to their search it could be told by them - but just to ingnore all new information?

How it came to me as editor for Wiki – I had in mind I just want to contribute here – and as always, I start with 100% and if sth goes not so well my motivation slows down and below a certain threshold sth finally would send a signal: stop doing anything further here – this is the wrong place to contribute. In case it would go nicely, that I really feel my contribution is appreciated – a high motivation tells me to continue – and yes also to learn that I can do even better. So I will see, how I feel as potential editor contributing for Wikipedia over the next months, what is coming up!
